Lavell Edwards

Millie was our first child to make it to a BYU football game.
A few weeks ago we decided to go last minute and since this little booger won't take a bottle (and football games are like a 7 hour ordeal) she had to come. When we got to our seats she was terrified with the noise and started crying. We swaddled her up, took turns rocking her and she promptly went to sleep. She slept for the entire first half of the game!
I hadn't been to a game in about 6 years. There have been some really important changes (the music is WAY better and the Cougarettes use pompoms now), but it was mostly the same and brought me back to games with Meredith and Lexie yelling weird things. And, unsurprisingly, BYU destroyed Houston at first, but found a way to make it close at the end.

And this guy read for a lot of the game, so that's cool.

September Sisters, Treats and Games

When I looked back at my phone pictures from September, it was apparently full of treats and games with sisters.

Kindergarten

We missed a few things for Sadie and school while we were gone. Luckily, I think Sadie didn't care one bit since Mimi did a great job recognizing and celebrating it all.

First up was Sadie's Kindergarten assessment with her teacher. Afterwards Sadie got to go to a special lunch.

The first day of school may have been in the top ten best days of Sadie's life.
Sadie woke up to a decorated room, decorated kitchen, and pancake pops.

Following that, Sadie was happy to do a first day of school photo shoot.
I love all of Sadie's non-teeth smiles.

In the end, I felt very guilty for missing Sadie's first day, but she ended up having a much more fun day than if I had been in charge. I am so grateful Carolyn made it such a good day.
Sadie is killing it in Kindergarten, although she mainly tells me about the friends she makes at recess rather than anything she learns. She walks around singing all sorts of new songs and telling me stuff is "nasty" and  "freaking cool" and various other phrases she has learned from fellow students.

Mimi

In case any of you didn't realize it, my mother-in-law is amazing. She made our entire Spain trip possible by coming to Utah and staying with Sadie and Elise. She didn't just stay with them, she took them on a ton of adventures. They both called me Mimi several times in the weeks after we got back. She uploaded pictures to the Nielson family stream every day so we could see everything they were doing. Sorry, but our Mimi is the best Mimi.
