The Cottle Family

Last weekend Nick, Lexie and Brizban lost their darling little Holland. She passed away in her sleep at 2 months old. I have had so many thoughts and feelings surrounding this that my brain can't shut off at night. Maybe one day I'll share some of them on my blog but not now. I have gone back and forth on whether or not to even mention it, but I am sharing it for one main purpose. 

Please pray for them. Lexie says she can almost physically feel the support of prayers. I know many of you have met them, and even if you haven't, send some prayers to the Big Man Upstairs on their behalf.

Discovery Park- Part 2

We loved Discovery Park so much that we went again last week. This time Mimi and Bear Paw (Sadie has taken to calling him Paco) met us there with Grandpa's nice camera. They got some amazing pictures of the girls. I won't add any captions. Just enjoy. Try not to pass out from the cuteness.

 

Discovery Park- Part 1

We just recently discovered Discovery Park. Oh man, what a discovery. This park is awesome. The best park, by far, I have seen in Utah County. 

Most of my pictures of Sadie look like this because she couldn't be bothered to stop. 

Leesie even loved it.

 

So did Whitney.

They have so much great stuff at this park. It reminded me of a park I grew up going to, but even better. 

Sadie loves these spinning things which I get dizzy just looking at. She is very focused in this photo because she learned the hard way that if you don't hold on you end up on the ground.

A bridge. 

There is a toddler section of the park where everything is built for smaller kids. They have a few beehives with tiny chairs built in. Sadie was excited to go in and she wanted me to come with her.

PS- Our first niece will be here by Friday!! We love you Carrie and we are praying for you- mainly that Will will have a better reaction to his little sister than Sadie did.

For some reason I love putting the girls in matching outfits. I have only done it a few times but it makes me happy every time.

Hee Haw Farms

For FHE recently we went to Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove. I had heard not-so-great things about it, but I thought Sadie would really enjoy it. I am so glad we went because I have never seen Sadie so excited for so long (That's 3 "so"s in one sentence!). She got more excited with every activity. It's crazy how much joy us sucker parents get from seeing our kids have fun.

 

First, the petting zoo. Sadie liked it, but only from Daniel's arms. There were just a bunch of animals running around in a pen. I used Elise as an excuse and stayed out of it.

 Then Sadie rode Bear, the pony. I was sure she would chicken out when it was her turn but she hopped right up there and asked if she could go again right away. She still talks about Bear.

 I volunteered Daniel to go down the "mountain slide" with Sadie. It was actually super fast and not very well secured so we were a little nervous about Daniel and Sadie flying over the bump at the end. It wasn't really set up for Daniel-size people.

Sadie wouldn't smile because she didn't want to get out of the animal train. It struggled going around corners a little bit, but Sades loved it.

Our last activity was a short hay ride where people dressed in costumes threw candy to us. Sadie was in heaven. We had barely been there an hour when a storm blew in. I am still upset about it. I wanted to cry with Sadie when we had to take cover in the car. We had planned on going back through everything and we didn't even get to do the corn maze. Oh well. Maybe next year, but probably not because Sadie will be too old to get in for free.

Elise was angry when the storm came in too. That, and she was a little groggy after a nap in the stroller.

Rewind

  I love these pictures from Grandpa Blood's birthday party last month. I love her.

PS- Look at this sweet photo of Daniel and his siblings. Oh and Leesie barfing off to the side. Reminiscent of this photo, but on an Elise barf scale (frequent, small barfs) and not a Sadie barf scale (frequent, gigantic barfs).
