Elise's face most of the time she is awake
When Elise was born my doctor commented how long she was. We were all surprised when the nurse measured her at 18.5". Daniel later insisted she didn't pull Elise's leg straight. When she was weighed and measured again in the nursery they had her at 19". Daniel was still skeptical about the measurement. Well, at 12 days old Elise somehow jumped to 21.5". The doctor double checked it to make sure.
Either there was some mistake in her birth measurement or our freak of a daughter grew 3 inches in 12 days.
Other than that, there was nothing interesting about her 2 week appointment. None of that failure to thrive stuff we went through with Sadie. Elise is back at her birth weight and climbing. Here's to a newborn that actually eats!
PS Sadie is really going to miss her papa

That face is intense! I love all the pictures of the girls...no pictures of you with the baby?
I think that's normal, the jump in height. Because they are able to stretch out over the first few weeks and they do gain a few inches.
She's pretty cute, good job.
I can't wait for Elise to read that she's a 'freak of a daughter' when she's 18...
