Here is what Sadie did in June
Dance camp. It was SO cute. They went every day for a week and had a performance on the last night. She went with her friends Bentley and Karissa.
One day when I thought she was coming down with pinkeye but luckily it was just an irritated eye. A few hours later the redness was gone
BYU basketball camp. Note that she is dribbling with her left hand here. She has gotten much better at basketball in the last year. She enjoys it, but isn't as excited about basketball as she is about dance and gymnastics, but once she is playing she loves it.
Officially diagnosed with vitiligo. It is an auto immune disease that results in her body attacking healthy pigment. Sadie has several small patches of white skin that I noticed last year. Then a couple months ago I noticed she had some patches of white hair on her head. That's when I brought her in. It is the same thing Michael Jackson had that lead to him bleaching his skin. Sadie isn't bothered by her current white patches at all. At first we were treating them with a steroid cream to see if the pigment would return but it took too much effort and she doesn't care. We might try it again when summer is over.

Just acting like a 15-year-old. Too cool for school
Summer gymnastics. Sadie has moved up to the advanced class with some of her friends. She has learned cool things and will soon surpass my level of ability. She is dying to be able to do a back handspring. She isn't too close yet, but she is working on it.
